BACKSTORY: Life for Annabeth as a single child was alright but lonely. She made a friend when she was between five and six, Alice. Things were all dandy, even when Anthony came when Annabeth was seven, but when Anna and Ali hit middle school things went downhill. Ali hit a depression and it hit her hard, causing self-doubt and made her feel like she was a disappointment. Despite Anna trying her best to help her, and all of Ali's other friends, she took her own life which impacted Annabeth deeply. Anna felt like she didn't try hard enough, let others/everyone around her down, and she doubted herself. Anthony tried to help her himself because at the time she was all he had, except for Michael, and she couldn't bear to even think what her parents would do with Anthony if it wasn't for her, so she kept going. A few years later, in her senior year, she finally gets the courage to talk to a so-called freak...
