Now, an about-face to the mountains, where the melting snow and waterfalls feed the lake. You can't see it from the shot, but behind the treeline is a wide expanse of marshy land, which prevented me from reaching the snow. I really, really wanted to poke the snow. And eat some of it. But nooo. I had to settle for drinking glacial run-off.
