Description I know you're wondering about the title of this, so allow me to elaborate.
This shot has two main elements - the fall leaves in the background, bright, vibrant, and lively. Then there's this blackened, dead tree, baren and lifeless in the foreground. When I was sitting on the log out in the water taking this shot, it made me think of how this dead tree was foreshadowing; a hint of the fate the trees in the background would some day meet, or at least a hint of the drearly, leafless months that lay ahead.
I enjoy this shot because it goes from dark to light, with the very bottom nearly black the blue is so dark, to the sky above - which is almost white.

The water is just stunning. I like how the spidery dead tree almost looks like a black hole opening up in the middle of the water.
