Description
I allready posted a shot of the falls, but that was more a photo to capture the whole scene. This, on the other hand, is a closeup of the water and ice formations, hence its place in "elements."
My main goal in taking this photo was to make the actual water itself a more integral element; it is easy to think of falls being created by rock formations and inclines, but the movement of the water is an equally important part of the equation. I especially like how the water looks to be sparkling in this shot, which btw was taken without any flash. The blurry flow of the water is contrasted nicely by the solid, well-formed ice framing it.
