Description
Shot taken at the buddhist monastary. It was a very gray day out, right before a horrendous torrential downpour. However, enough sun was peeking through the clouds to illuminate the brilliant red leaves of a Japanese Maple. The colors here are 100% unmanipulated but for "auto levels." Please note that though the photo quality is gritty, there was no real attempt made to focus, as I wanted the contrast between the bright leaves and dull sky to be the focus.Related content

Very nice. I saw a maple this fall that was very brilliant, and tried to do something similar -- but I think this captures what I was interested in waaaay better. I didn't really come away with anything worth posting. Well done...

I really think this is excellent! I too love the light and the leaves. The depth is amazing. Thanks for sharing this with us all.
