Half of the Bitterroot was flooded with all of the melt-off still flowing down from the mountains. This normally tiny creek became roaring rapids as icy cold water flowing down from the snow-caps expanded its banks.Related content

These pictures of the rapids are great. I can literally hear and smell them in my head. It must have felt so great to be up there.
