The grave marker of a Cheyenne warrior at the Custer Battlefeild. They just recently started marking where the native americans fell as well as the US soldiers. Note that the creek and treeline in the background is where thousands of Indians refusing to move to reservations gathered prior to the battle.Related content

What's the word I am looking for to describe this...nobility, honor, respect...memorable.
It is really wonderful that people are starting to recognize the strength that the Native Americans possessed, the courage and determination that they showed when defending their people and land.
