Description
That's a pretty detailed picture to do for meThough knowing that it will later on be scanned unprofessionally I did at least two very stupid things. First: I used watercolours, second I toned down several highlights with light blue to make the portrait in the BG softly merge with the different blue and white tones of the sky. All in vain
Now you can neither see these bluetones nor the shadings of the sky. The water is - corrupted! Everything white is far too white... My ultra carefully added fog is now some minor important blur and the multi shaded face...the face.... well... it's simply shaded now. ~_~
...and I knew all of that beforehand. Scanning kills all vibrant colours of Copic markers, it makes acrylics too red and it's totally impossible to scan watercolour picture - as this one is - and get an acceptable result at all.
I had no chance.

For the record:
Watercolours, Din A3
featuring two "new" (hm, 4-year-olds, I guess...) characters and a horse that should look far more oriental. Used no reference. Always think to get horses as right as I should by heart. Call it stubborn. I like dawing them freehand.
Maybe I will somehow digitalise it anew and nicer. Someday.

Beautiful, even considering all the problems you had with it! It really makes me want to know more about the characters.....

Thanks! I hope I can work some more with them soon. ^^ I once began a very short doujinshi about them but didn't finish it.
