'kay guys, so this is a chart that would of been made by Lilly Pilly about how different types of ponies came to be.

'Alicorns' tend to be born from light and shadow ponies breeding. They don't always have both wings and a horn, but the missing limb can be brought out by a pony who has strong magic and an expert understanding of how that limb works. They can come in any colour of the spectrum.
Unicorns were created by the light ponies and are usually born from two unicorns, two earth ponies, or an earth pony and a unicorn. They tend to have very pale colours.
Pegasi were created by the shadow ponies and are usually born from two pegasi, two earth ponies, or an earth pony and a pegasus. They tend to have rather dark colours.
Zebras were created by a group of light and shadow ponies in collaboration and are usually born from two zebras. They tend to be black and white.
it is theorized that bat ponies were created when the shadow ponies were trying to perfect their method for creating pegasi and that deer were created in a similar way, but by the light ponies.
