I envy the way the model is darkened, but still visible! The sun, the water, the sand, it all makes those beautiful details, that catch your eyes.

Even though I already have a favorite daily deviation today, (I try not to because it just seems so chliche) I couldn't pass the chance up to add this one.
I was so relieved when I saw this because all day today I was going around and saying to everyone, "fly with the wind". It kinda sounds like some stereotypical indian phrase, but it's really what it symbolized.
I just get so tired of seeing all the students huddled together in their own little world not really enjoying anything. So of course, when I walk up to them like a free-spirited hippy, I get some strange looks. No matter, I ended up making a lot of people smile.
So even miles away from a beach, I could feel the wind and hear the waves, totally relaxed. (And I wasn't daydreaming.)
So I hope my little story makes you smile because I always do when someone relates to my work. And you don't have to respond or anything because I'm sure you're going to be busy with the million other comments.
For the little criticvism that I have: if I had taken the picture, I would have done it from behind the model, and lost the burnt edges; I like your different point of view.
And yet another thing I noticed was the nice sun rays and the reflection in the sand, all balancing the image and message.

Uh-mazing. That bird over the fabric just makes the whole shot (that and the quote in your comment box). I love the choice to do a geep golden sepia, too (if that's the right word).

Absolutely gorgeous- I love the waterdroplets and how they seem to sparkle from the sunray in the upperright hand...a very successful self portrait- one thing I just can't get over though....the (hat?????)!!!!! As with the mise-en-scene of a film, I'm sure you intended for it to be there. maybe it has some greater meaning that I am missing, but darkness and obscurity of shape with all the other clarity and free-flow of the rest of the shot is really disrupting. I do love the harmony of this though...do I ever!
