To my surprise, there’s very little depictions of MacCready as a gunner in the fallout fandom! The fanfics are usually the ones that do that! So, I wanted to draw my take on what he may have looked like :> It’s always fun drawing clothing with a bunch of miscellaneous parts. Plus, this gave me great pose-practice. And GUNS? Holy shit I actually had a blast drawing them!! And for someone who usually draws organic things, I think the guns turned out pretty good.
One MacCready headcanon of mine is that the (partial) reason for his missing teeth is due to occasional beatings from his Gunner superiors… He often hesitates to kill certain people, especially when he has to do it up close.
MacCready has no doubt done some awful things during his time as a gunner, and I think that should totally be explored more in art!! I’d love to see y’alls interpretations! This was such a fun drawing exercise/character exploration.
