Chimaeron is from WoW, he was a boss in the Blackwing Descent Raid ( wow.gamepedia.com/Chimaeron). He has relatively little backstory other than being a created by a dragon in his laboratory/lair, stitched together and experimented on for years before facing adventurers. The game's dungeon journal entry is literally just "Big, ugly, evil, kill it."

But honestly, how could you look into those fourteen eyes and think such a thing? That's why, when hydras (which he is classified as) officially became a species tameable by Hunters, my first action was to delve back into the raid and bring him home. Now I imagine he's much happier: out in fresh, non-volcanic air, being fed meat not from other failed genetic experiments, and killing things for me instead of being killed for loot.
