Real dogs don't sparkle.I hope there are those of you who found the humor in this, and seriously don't take offense.
Alucard put up with sparkling vampires, and now he puts up with sparkling dogs.

ya know, I don't know what he is, but I'd like to think of him as a saluki
Some make him a giant old wolf, but in the anime version he's got long floppy ears.

I thought he was a hell-irish setter at first....I'm thiking more along the Wolfhound/Deerhound breeds now. If he were a setter the fur on the rest of his body wuld be long and shaggy too.
But when he goes through the release state and the hellhounds come charging out of his body they look like some type of doberman/wolf/shepherd cross.
If he were spanial he'd have much shorter legs and would have a docked tail not to mention his muzzle wouldn't be that long.
I like depicting him as a mutated wolf hellhound but thats just me. And when I say mutaed I mean making him look even more demonic than he already is lol.
All and all this forum -points to the pic- only shows up in the original anime...I do not recall seeing it in the OVA's.
Regardless this picture is...EPIC WINNESS!!!
If he tried to eat it though I'm sure he'd get sick. I don'think even his stomach can take that which is a sparkle dog/sparklepire....he'd vomit it up all over the place and then poorWalter would have to clean up sparkle vomit. poor Alucard...

Yeah, in the anime, he appears as some manner of.. well.. hound. Naturally, I thought of a saluki. The anime is cracked anyhow.
Though hm... the 'hound' appears in a trailer, lol and as random head(s?) in his shadows.
All that aside... yes, he really should think twice about eating that sparkledog. It might make him sparkle too

Oh god if he turned sparkly integra would NEVER let him live it down and no one else would take him seriously. I bet seras might be a little more inclined to hug him though XD she seems like the type that would draw sparkle dogs if she can draw. lol.
okay maybe if the sparkles were blood red he could tolerate them. XD or black. I still say the only time he should sparkle is if he's covered in blood under a full moon. XD
A Saluki? I've heard of them but I've never seen a picture of one before. Are they anything like Shiba Inu's?
In the OVA he has a two headed hellhound that eats luke XD. I was so disappointed in the original anime when they didn't show luke getting eaten like in the manga. the original wasn't gorey enough to match the anime in my opinion. Part of the reason why I love the OVA so much.

This isn't over... Sparkle dogs just playing dead so it doesn't cause inconvienat, unnecessary destruction. Plus sparkle dog can rise from the dead, and it has an army of clones in all shades of the rainbow! It will never die. Evar! And its bones are made of rare kind of indestructible jello-metal-bone. And it can shoot fireworks with kittens from its eyes.
