Description
I drew this quite a while ago.. Found it and realized I'd never put it up so.. here it is? I wanted to finish it, but just never found to time I guess. Every sticky note should have something on it...Maybe when things lighten up around here I'll color it and give it the attention it needs.. but for now.. here you go..
A touch melodramatic but its my sketchbook so there!

Kind of reminds me of me sometimes, I swear if it was possibly my mom would leave sticky notes all over the house for me.

Aww.. You know, once in a while there's so many messages on a post of mine and I have so little time that I don't give them all enough attention at the time..
It's unfortunate you feel that way.. At least we all do have characters like Edd that strike a chord in us enough to feel like we're maybe not as alone as we think we are.
Ha. But maybe that's just me projecting!

I've always wished the emotional scars these sticky notes must be leaving on Edd would come into the show. I bet he has nightmares about the darn things, floating around him... sucking his blood.... I'd go on, but I shouldn't let myself get caught up in how creepy an Edd nightmare could be. XP
And the "Don't associate with that 'Eddy' boy" sticky note here is my favorite, because I've wondered what the parents think when the Eds come home or when they see them playing. I'd like to know how Edd's parents feel about Edd constantly being under Eddy's control, or how Eddy's parents feel seeing how it's impossible for their son to come home without at least one black eye everyday. And the massive property damage, I'm sure the parents are always glad to find that when they get home from the salt mines. XD

I've always sort of wished that too.. But at the same time I can see why its not. I think he's too close to it now to see how strange it is.. Not that its not effecting him. Its just that I could maybe see -Eddy- calling it to his attention that something's really screwy about it before EDD ever made that connection himself. In the sense that up until he realizes its weird, he'd be doing his very best to bare it.
One thing I liked.. out of all of season 5.. was that line in Cleanliness where Edd cries out "Do I even EXIST!?" in regards to his parents.. which is like the first time he's really expressed anger toward them within the series.. I really hope that if there are more seasons that that's something we can explore with more depth. When I act with Edd, I -do- try to keep in mind the effects of those notes in his reactions to things. Therefore, things like 'isolation' become hot buttons in my eyes.
hahaha and yeah.. I dont think Edd's parents like what they're heard about this.. this.. "Eddy."

Oh yeah, when I was having fanspasms over how that episode was aired early and I was lucky enough to catch it, I paid extra attention to that line. It kind of reminds me of the "Why do I bother? Nobody listens...." line in Boo Haw Haw, so I thought it was going to be the start of a trend of Edd realizing how underappreciated he is. Not disappointed that it didn't turn into that, but his awareness of his situation was a welcomed addition.
I can imagine Edd's mother mumbling disapprovingly to Edd while she was making Ed and Eddy that soup in 'My Fair Ed'. XD

Somehow I wish you and people like you could take these "darker" ideas and go in another direction with the EEnE franchise, like a comic book or something. More realism, same style. I'd buy that--too bad it's only really possible with something like a web format...

I never watched this show very much, but I did once and there was one scene where Edd was carrying a sack lunch and the note on it said something along the lines of "Eddward: This tuna sandwich should dry your tears- Mom and Dad." and I was like Aw <3

Ha ha ha ha ha. Scott put that in.. I remember we were both sitting there looking over what was the "final" board. And I forget what I was saying to him exactly but it was something about how sad I feel Edd's homelife is and what on the show has led me to belive that... As I was talking, Scott took out a post-it note of his own (which we often work with) drew that little sticky note and handed me the page saying "Go cut this in.." (into the page, that is, tape it down, etc..)
It was really cool of him to put something like that in...
