So, we all know what a Naiad is. right? I'm terribly afraid that I'm to word-y and come off as taking my artwork too seriously. I paint brightly colored monsters, how serious can I be? Hehe. So, I was going to say :

These nymphs are revered as spirits of specific natural lakes, springs, rivers and fountains. These eternally youthful evolved female humanoids seduce sailors and wandering strangers in their desire to obtain a human soul. A Naiad is intimately connected to her body of water and her very existence is dependant on it. If the body of water dries up, the Naiad expires.
