Okay, so, my reference pic was footless, and I decided to try drawing feet sans refs. I'm not even going to say how poorly that turned out. You can see for yourself.

But the bigger issue here is: I don't like Lyle's color scheme. I wanted to do something different from my usual purples and blues, but the problem with only having a few colored pencils is only having a few colored pencils. Maybe if the pants were the khaki/olive I wanted. Or maybe the shirt had something better than orange for accents. Or maybe the brown was a little less drab. Or maybe, maybe, maybe. Also, I still haven't figured out how to make noserings look like anything but oddly placed blobs.
