Vortex is the Phantom Stallion or the “Ghost of the Night” due to the fact he mostly comes during the twilight hours. Of all the dread steeds, the skull steed is the most noble. Kathalu is his faithful rider, both in battle and just for the pleasure of it.

Insanity, Illusions, Dark Spiritual Energy and Possession are his tactics. By drawing in the thick fog, the horse can turn enemies upon one another or plunge them into a nightmare world of insanity. The only thing is, not one of his allies must be near the beast when this happens for they too will be affected by the force.

His coat is forever that midnight coloration of blue and the same for his mane and tail. While his skull replaces an irregular face far different from normal horses. For the most part, his fluffy wings are seen yet the oddity of it is, the bone will always remain. He can be seen standing placidly yet conceited on his mound of skulls, his prized possession of victims he has defeated.

A single Talisman was inserted deep into the phantom steed’s hearts as a means to bound him to a Rune Gate and bestow the duty as Channaler. To guard and activate the gates, when needed, to travel to other locations within the dragon world. Furthermore these gates are not only used as a way to get from multiple locations, but as a means to send supplies and other necessities.

RipTide - Water. Rune Gate mounted onto a very small island, very close to the shorelines, in the Leviathan Sea. The Cordite Crystal was found in the depths of this particular sea also.
