Study of a barn owl.

I experimented with a few different media this time. I've finally found a solution to adding fine detail by using ink - and it didn't smear when laid over the colored pencil!

In other news ... I passed my recital jury for violin. (This was the final step to securing my graduation recital in the spring. Yes!).
Maybe I'll share some recordings when I stop rolling in self doubt grahhhhh.

Media: Prismacolor soft-core pencils
           Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen (highlights)
           Sakura Pigma Micron pen, black
           Staedtler Triplus fineliners (color lines)
           Pilot G-2 black, some graphite.

           On Strathmore Toned Tan sketch paper, 5.5'' by 8.5''.

(Some serious drawing issues happened when I abandoned the reference for color. Overall the owl got a little chubby. Gah! Sorry!)
