Uploading because it's something cute lol

I'm trying to do a sketch or some form of art every day for all of 2013. There's a meme but the link isn't on hand...I'll end up writing a journal about it. Anyway this was the sketch for yesterday, the 25th, but I also did the lineart and color of Benjamin yesterday so I took this sketch and colored it for the 26th.

See, Penny is the shortest Guardian, that's not a child, lol she's not a little person or anything, she's just short, and she's got no problem with that...except when it comes to being pregnant. She got it when she was having her son Shigure, and now she's expecting baby number two, a little girl named Emma.

Though she was always a tomboy and never really very feminine, Penny embraces the role of being a mother; you notice her hair has gotten slightly longer here compared to the other couple of times I've drawn her. What gets to her is the pregnancy stage. She loves it, but as her tummy grows and she gets that lovely baby bump, not a day goes by when people who see her don't talk about how adorable she is, like a stuffed teddy bear.

It's also rather hard on her back, although her feet and ankles fare better for whatever reason. She tends to eat a lot while she's expecting too, which is why she's got a frosted sugar cookie hanging out of her mouth. She's got that pouty face because, you guessed it, she just got called cute again XP

But boy does Hikaru pamper her lol Being small has it's benefits XP

On the subject of small, in the right hand corner is in fact, baby Emma. When she's born her fluffy tail, one she gets from her father obviously, is as big as she is, and she can curl up and sleep on it very comfortably. Big tail aside, she's smaller than her brother when she's born, since she's more mouse, while her brother is more raccoon.

For the record, Shigure's got a fluffy tail too, only his is built more like his mother's mouse tail.

What can I say, lol, I still love Penny. She's one character I have that came out exactly like I envisoned her, not that others didn't, but still. She's really unique I feel and I love that about her <3

Anyway, yeah just in flat color. Was just something cute I wanted to post =3
