Beautiful photo! Using the spraybottle is a great idea, I hope you do not mind if I try it as well?

So much beauty in one picture ! And your picture description fits so well.
What are those little freckles all over the scene? Drizzling rain?

Thank you for the lovely comment!
When I put some of those winter cherries in my old moss garden I noticed that the fine structure doesn't show if they solely decay.
Their bright orange skin needs to be eaten by snails to show this wonderful, fascinating structures c:

Eaten by snails? I didn't know that, thanks for the information! (Seems like we have lots of snails in our garden, since last year i found every physalis thay lay on the ground in this state of decay )

They really seemed to love the taste of it, ignoring the other tasty stuff laying around, like cherries and leaves.

I dunno what your language is xD
In English this is called Chinese Lantern and in German Lampionblume (Lantern Flower).
And yes you can make very pretty lights out of them.

Vusiuz In reply to Rick-TinyWorlds [2015-06-01 04:38:00 +0000 UTC]
Ahhh Chinese Lantern...in my language they are called "Bunga Lampion", literally translated as "Lampion Flower"
Hoozuki is japanese word of it...it can become a lantern? would it burned?

Hehe, Bunga Bunga means Sex in Italian, I think
I put them on top of LED christmas lights. They don't get hot even if they are turned on for a long time.

LoL, language difference is fun yet can cause misunderstanding,Β
example:Β
Bom Dia! (in Brazil) : Hello, Good Day!
Bom Dia! (in Indonesian) : Bomb/Nuke Him!
Oh i think u put a fire or candle inside the flower lol
