Whew! This behemoth is my addition to the "Character Is" Project, the brainchild of . Here's the journal entry that describes it: [link]Poor Sango. While she isn't abused to the same degree as Kagome or Kikyou, there's loads of bad fanfiction written about her all the same. And to the Sango haters who think she's just a filler character - read up on some recent manga, will ya?
After all the sweat-equity I put into this, I really hope this makes it into the final catalog. Though even if it doesn't, I loved making it all the same.

Ha! This is probably my favorite ...is fanart yet. "Damn filler episodes!" That was great! Everything was aligned great toof, the columns all got progressively funnier. Especially the very last one "Seriously, WTF?" "Well, at least its better than being paired with your brother." That was absolutely priceless!

Sango isn't one of my favourite characters I only like the angst concerning Kohaku, but I don't understand why people hate her so
And I think that you pick out quite mild scenes from fanfiction - what about Sango/Naraku and Sango/Kohaku - they are more frequent in my opinion and much more frightening

SHE RULES AND SHE KICKS ASS!! So in yer face to all the haters out there!
This was so funny!! And I remember that filler episode Sango's talking about! That was FRICKIN' HILARIOUS! And I am happy and proud to say that I've written one of the best fanfictions about her! That panel with her and Sesshomaru nearly killed me! "It IS pretty, isn't it?" 
But anyway, this one I shall favorite! I love anything that will make me laugh! And at certain parts, it nearly made me fall out my chair! And with Sango being bitchy....you should see that one episode where she PUNCHED Miroku! That's kinda takin' it to the max, and she STILL looked cool doin' it!

I practically wrote an essay above about the many reasons Sango is one of my favorite IY characters. For some weird reason, I'm always a fan of the sidekick and rarely the "hero." Plus, she so totally RULES.

Very nice job! I would change one thing though. The frame where it says that she's not Passive. After passive I would add "all the time". By the way. I'm still waiting on the finished version of that "Sango vs Aliens" picture request! I'm just wondering if you forgot. If you did forget about, that's ok, I forget shit all the time. (Oops. Pardon my french). Let me know the status of my "Sango vs Aliens" request though a note.

I agree; flames without reason to cool female characters... sounds like a bunch of puberty-hitting female brats are a tad jealous, mm?
I think Sango is by far the best female character in the Inuyasha series (I don't like Kagome that much). Asides from the neverending "I betray my friends to get my brother's frigging corpse" which varies from time to time, she kicks ass, literally. Unlike other characters in the group, she trained and doesn't really rely on supernatural powers, without considering Kirara.
I think it's time for Sango-haters (or any female-hater) to stop nonsense and see beyond the sex (if that's what they are really doing, because I've never seen so much bash in female characters; male characters don't get this much either).
BTW your art style kicks ass, Sango looks every bit like she should look ^^

Some of it is truly ridiculous. I found some "h4T3r" sites while browsing a bit ago (I need to get off the interbutt) with some really ridiculous drivel: I hate Sango cuz I <3 Miroku; because she's a crybaby, because she's a backstabbing bitch, etc. I hate to break it to you ladies, Miroku isn't a real person to fight over.
I personally adore Sango, but I can understand why she might make some people uncomfortable. She is a complex character that represents real suffering, yet manages to pull herself up by the bootstraps and become more than her pain - forming relationships and even indulging in a little slapstick humor. But (and I think this is truly awesome for a female character), she doesn't define herself by her relationships - what she is is a product of her own hard work. So don't hate, IMITATE.
In sum, I love Sango. Girl power!
