[link]Well they may not be philosophy strips but I hope everyone who has been asking me to make more Twilight and Smartypants comics will like these.
Also sorry for not trying to make the art look exactly like Watterson’s like I did last time (This is mostly because when I do I’m tempted to start copying his panel/image composition too). This time around it’s more of a hybrid between his style and mine.
Anyway At this point I’m not really sure whether or not I’m going to keep doing these strips. I know several of you let me know you wanted me to start some kind of series on the last one. I’ve also had some people suggest I make a Twilight and Smarty Tumblr account. (Sounds like fun, alto I don’t know too much about Tumblr
)So this time around I’m just going to come up front and ask…
“Do you guys want me to make a series out of this?” .
Any suggestions you can give me are appreciated.

I say go with it. Not only is it funny and in a Calvin and Hobbes style, but it gives the community an *ahem* insightful view of Twillight's childhood as well as her DEEP relationship with Mr. Smartypants.
There's a question by the way, why is Mr. Smartypants portrayed as a mare? Or am I looking at it wrong? Twilight needs her "male" role model. XD

Actually Twilight referred to Smarty as a "she" during the episode she showed up in.
Alto I do agree with you, I'm considering changing her design to look more like the version I used in the first comic [link] and just adding eyelashes as the only distinguishable sign that she's a girl.

Yes, dear god yes. I am blown away by the quality of this. The art may not be a Watterson clone, but its fantastic in it;s own right. The panel with the Leviathan is gorgeous. I adore the image of Twilight wrapped in her Mom's magic, and the sense of humor for the strips is the perfect emulation of the childhood playfulness mixed with adult snark that made Watterson's comics so enjoyable.
You have no idea how much I envy your ability to make this type of series WORK. Because it does. It's the kind of fanon development that makes you famous in the community. I mean, what a great way to imagine Twilight's childhood for fan's? It's almost creepy how perfect a formula it is to deliver a version of Twilight and her youth with Cadence, Shining, and her parents, who we see practically nothing of in the show. ANd just look how well you do in these strips! It's wonderful work.

Sounds like you've got a really good idea of where I want to go with this thing.
I want to take inspiration from Watterson's work to the point it's recognizable, but at the same time want to develop this into it's own thing.
Now question time. I'm trying to put together a tiny team to help me with making the comics, and was wondering if you'd be willing to help me with the brainstorming stage. For the most part giving me someone to spitball ideas with.(Along with Giving opinions on what ideas you think do and don't work, and serving as a "laugh-o-meter" for the jokes.)

I love Calvin and Hobbes. And I love My Little Pony. This captures the best of both worlds!
I sincerely hope you keep making these. These are very well done, I like both the art style as well as the humor. I would really like to see this version of Twilight and Smarty Pants, plus her parents, expanded! Keep up the good work!
