Description The Zündapp Janus was a 1957-1958 "microcar" from a German company that had made its name building motorcycles. The Zündapp Janus appeared to be double-ended, with the front ant back nearly identical, hence its namesake, the two-faced Roman god. It had a 14-hp engine that took it up to 50 miles per hour, fast enough for a city microcar. However, the Zündapp Janus did not last long, and only 6902 units were made. The Zündapp Janus appeared in the 2011 Pixar movie Cars 2 as a villain, the mad German scientist Professor Z. This Zündapp Janus is preserved in the California Automobile Museum.
