In my original text work, that I'm writting and redacting right now, Robin comes from a planet named Squamadensa. It's a small planet located in a remote corner of the universe, with a rich ecosystem that supports a diverse array of life. Robin was a pugnacious boarding school student before the implants, where he was placed because his parents couldn't take care of him and his brother, Norman (more about him later). There he meets a furry cat, Thomas Jankowski. Jankowski's father thought he was stupid, so he sent him to this horrible place with no good living conditions for children. They become friends and decide to stick together until they are released from here. Robin often got into trouble and Tom helped him with his injuries and tried to wean him off his fighting temper. I'll tell you about Thomas later. So, the boarding house was trashed when Robin was 16, so he ran away from there and went to work unofficially as an assassination mercenary. That's when their paths diverged, and he didn't see Thomas until his arrival on planet Earth (i.e., when he was 20).
He started implanting after his arrival on Earth, having found himself on the black market. He was sold a counterfeit, unofficial implant based on a private version developed by a scientist (Robin's brother). He started getting more and more of them implanted and using immunosuppressors, so that his red hair became paler over time due to poor blood cycling and he looked quite unhealthy. In general, Robin had always been an aggressive individual who was out to get him. But after the implantation he underwent changes, both physical and mental. He began to see things and became uncontrollable unless he took copious amounts of pills.
