Description These are some inks that has already shown once before. I decided that I should probably have them on my site as well, since I did ink them. There are some little things here and there that I would have done differently now. Like the webbing should have a more unified holding line around it going from thin to thick as it gets closer (including the small loops in the webbing that I inked thin, and should have inked thicker). Basically, this is a filler until I get around to inking some other stuff. `

Oh, I agree. Not all the line weights should be where they are at, but I hate to go back into this piece just yet. Not until I feel like my skills are back to where they were when I did that piece originally. I'm glad you liked it though

Heh, thanks man. Much apreciated. I do sort of like the looks of the webbing, but they are breaking some standard rules of inking that help to bring the effect of depth more to the forefront. When I get a little less rusty feeling, I'll try to go back and change those little things that don't sit as well with me. lol... I better limit doing that just to one piece or else I'll end up changing a bunch of old stuff.

Hey Chad.....nice work on the inks as usual. Now I know I sound like a tool for asking this question for like the umptenth time but what tools do you use for inking? I think you said you use a brush but I forgot *slaps forehead*. I use Micron Pens and Speedball India Ink with a brush right now. Every once in a while I'll use the nibs and brush, but I haven't found anything that I'm completely happy with. I really like the richness of the ink when I use the brush and nibs, but I press so damn hard on everything I switched back to pens.

Sorry for ramblin' on like that.

Heh, not a problem. I don't mind answering questions, even if you think you already asked them I probably forgot I answered the question anyway... and I ramble to, so it's cool

I use a Winsor Newton series 7 finest sable #3 brush, micro pens, a 102 hunts crow quill, and a lot of templates and french curves. My number one used tool is the brush. I just love the feel of it, and the look it gives me on the page. It's a very smooth tool, and it took about two years to really get the hang of it. Really, the best tools are whatever feels right to you. As long as the final product looks good, nobody really cares how you got there. The brush (and especially the quill) will take a lot of time to get used to as far as pressure goes. I still have some fights with my crow quill, but persistance can really work wonders in the long run. Hope that was helpful.

Hey thanks Chad. I was just wonderin' cuz I see some people use the pens and some use brushes, others use their tongues, and so on . But yes this was helpful and informative.
