Description
The Silver Spider is an NPC I created for the DnD campaign I'm apart of! She is tied to Loranis' family history, and she has become an ally of out party. I created her awhile ago, but have only just gotten around to drawing her. I think she came out great!

- The Silver Spider is a deal-making demon that resides in the planes of Hell. She is able to grant varying powers to mortals in exchange for their soul, as most typical demons do. She is over 7ft tall, with 6 strong arms and a a jaw she can open wide and split in half. She is not someone you want to cross.

- The Silver Spider is somewhat of a vain demon. While most deal making demons with just absorb a soul, she likes to turn them into gems, which are then embedded into silver jewellery and worn. These souls make her more powerful. The more she has, the stronger she is, and all the more dazzling she looks.

- The Silver Spider’s name comes from both her appearance and her love for silver jewellery, however her actual name is unknown to all but her. People will typically call her Spider for short, but people closer to her will call her 'Silvy'.

- As well as powerful spells, she can also create webbing, which she can use to do a variety of things such as a mode of transport, for healing and restraining, and making weapons for herself through hardening. She is particularly fond of using a great bow, as her multiple arms means she can shoot arrows with a deadly force.

Relevence to Current Campaign

In relation to the current campaign, the Silver Spider helped the party find another demon, a Cambeon called Garrak, who knew vital information that would help with defeating Demvil, a demon-devil cross that wants to turn the material plane into a plane of Hell. She wanted to stop Demvil for her own reasons. After all, it would be bad for business if all the mortals are dead!

Relevence to Loranis

The Silver Spider is the reason the Silverkin clan all share the same inherited silver eyes. Generations ago, a man summoned her. He wanted to be able to see those who plotted and moved against him, spot an enemy in a crowd or judge those he trusted most.

For this desire, Silver Spider granted him her eyes. This granted him the ability to see the desires of those the man looked at and discover those who plotted against him. This left her mark on him, his iris’ becoming a shiny silver. With that, he created the Silverkin Clan, using this new gained ability to gain more and more power and influence. While this power was not inherited by his descendants, the eyes remained. The Silver Spider’s mark.

Loranis was told this story when she first met the Silver Spider, and while she does not consider herself to be a Silverkin, her eyes will always be a reminder.

I found inspiration for Silvy through multiple characters, including Opal (Steven Universe), Widowmaker (Overwatch) and Kidomaru (Naruto).
