Downtown Chicago, October 10th, 2022.

For most of sixty years I've lived within a five hour drive from Chicago, but I had never been there. Then last year (2022) I went twice. Once by car and once by train. Except for maybe some sort of route 66 exploration, I really have no desire to visit again. I'm sure it is mostly fine to live there or near there, but for me, as a vacation destination, the traffic, the parking, the expense, was just not enjoyable.
