thanks, this is just 3dsmax and photoshop for texturing. Done in about a day and a half due to deadly deadlines.
In more detail: started with texturing the rocks in the middle in photoshop, then used a BW of that map as a displacement map to make the geometry. The ground and hill are just noised geometry with procedural maps. the trees in the foreground were built from extruding faces from a box, the leaves on them are particle arrays using instanced geometry, and the background trees and shrubs are the Forest Plugin. Lighting is a global sun object with radiosity. Rendered in Max.
