Repgon

species: repgon (an amphibious dragon)
size: 53 feet
diet: meat (carnivore)
habitat: mostly water dwelling, but the can live on land if needed.
behaviors: they are usually mild creatures who don't want to start a fight. but they can be territorial. to lift such an immense body in the air it has a dozen flight lungs filled with helium, and they also have powerful flight mussels and can even lift it up into the air. the wings can beat in 200 times per second. they also have a chamber in their throat that contains a tube to breath fire and a secondary tube that produces electricity. it fires both elements at once to stun and scorch prey/enemies. it has a strong neck, but the only place where it's vulnerable is the notch in the second segment of it's neck which is usually protected by armor around it, it's head acts like a shield what it has many rows of long sharp teeth. it's forelegs have been modified to look like large scythes but they can also use them like scissors too. they are covered in armor, their upper body  and wings have a metal-like armor
life cycle: when two rival males meet they will fight to the death or untill one backs down to win a mate. Repgons have strong parental instincts. as soon as the adults have mated the female looks for a lake to claim her territory and nesting site underwater. she makes a nest of seaweed and lays 50-70 cameo colored shelled eggs that are each coated with jelly. she fiercely guards her eggs against egg thieves like otters and racoons. despise all her efforts, less then half of the original hatchlings survive to leave the water. when the eggs hatch 40 days later the tiny repgons only 1 foot long look like fish but the fins are merely modified plates. the mother fiercely guard them untill they are old enough to leave the water and by then have grown legs and small arm claws. by the time they are 3 years of age, each larva will find a cave large enough to support the next phase in their life. they calcify themselves around them and hibernate. when the awaken a 10 months later they will emerge from their calcified cocoon as an adult now bears wings and leave to claim a lake for their very own.
