Anyone who's visited my page will probably know I'm not a fan of AI. Yes, there's some amazing pieces floating around (even if the algorithm still has trouble with hands, feet and eyes!!!) but by and large I don't like the idea of somebody typing in a few words into a computer and then claiming the result as their own pieces of art!Well a little while ago I came across a piece of "art" that I thought was quite good (even if it wasn't properly created by the so-called artist) and I thought I'm gonna show how easy it is to create a piece of art using Daz Studio, Photoshop and Luminar Neo referencing an AI piece that probably had a prompt along these lines:
Pretty, young, freckled woman with curly hair, wearing a pair of headphones and bathed in purple and magenta directional lighting and a bright rim light behind her with a concentric circle vignette in the background.
That's what I saw in the reference and this is how it turned out. It wasn't until after I rendered it that I realised she actually looks a bit like a girl I dated in the 90's and foolishly let go for my EX wife, D'oh!
Let me know if you think that from this experiment it shows that with a little bit of effort you can produce satisfying artwork (that's actually yours!) even if you do use AI as a reference.
