This version of the Zora still have hair (albeit matted and greasy). They also still have sharp, pointed ears, without the fishtail that comprise the back of their skull in the traditional representation. The blue-hued skin also remains. They live in the sewers of Hyrule, a far cry from the pristine watery kingdoms they usually reside in within the video games.
