More progress on my SOLDIER corset

I used not such an awesome upholstery grade vinyl, but this is just the prototype. When I create my SEPHIROTH design I will use the really nice, $35 a yard imitation leather.

The buckles are actually purse straps that I added vinyl straps to mimic the double belt on the SOLDIER uniform. The logo chest plate will be attatched with rectangle rings, vinyl strips and heavy duty snaps. Hopefully. We'll see how it turns out.

It will be bound in the same vinyl and is lined with just a flannel with a heavy canvas interfacing. This is still just a prototype so the nicer version will come IF this turns out. The chest piece is ending up alot smaller than I originally planned, so... I might have to make some modifications.

It will be boned with flat steel and high quality plastic boning, with black grommets set up the back.

If this is a successful endeavor, I plan on making a male version too Hopefully I can get a male version, the Genesis (the basic, but in a red/brown vinyl) and the SEPHIROTH done so I can plan a photoshoot by the end of the summer!
