I always inkwash...I feel like the markers are cool for sketches or design...but I prefer the brush for that professional look.

I'm sure it has. What really struck me was that you used the inkwash to work with your hyper detailed style.

All the times I've used it, I concentrated on the whole light/shadow transition rather than focus on the details (so I guess I'll give your approach a try if I find the time )

I like the line down the middle without there being an actual line. The fact that it's not in color makes it all the more cooler because you can't really see where the actual division between his clothing is except at his face and his belt. It looks really good.
