Description
I made this using the same method as I used while making tree...? ( graphite, colored pencils and markers with a touch up in adobe elements).... I cleaned up the white areas using adobe but other than that it was mostly traditional..... (exept the background... of course)....any way I made this because there arn't a whole lot of good original characters in the sci fi department.... just a bunch of ALIEN copys and dinasaurs ... >.> THe dinasaurs were pretty cool though.... any way im rambling..
I hope you like this and if you want ..prints are available soon
Thanks for viewing
And no he has no name as of yet....

Now THIS is wicked cool!!! Awesome piece. I'm intrigued by this method you use. I've never thought of mixing graphite, colored pencils, and marker all together. How does it work??

well .... I always liked the graphic quality and unique personality that pencil drwings have and I also love the look of applying color over them to get a more refined and finished looking peice of art..... so more often than not I add color using adobe photoshop... but as of latly I have had to do a lot of work on the computer so I try to avoid using it for art .... so what you do is
1. draw a sketch using a graphite pencil... and blending paper sticks
2. using markers color some of the areas directly or on a different peice of paper.
3. Trace the sketck with some colored pencils and add some textures....
4. Scan in the pencil drawings and marker cells and layer them together photoshop
you can do it all on one peice of paper but.... depending on the extent that u use the pencils sometimes the marker wont stick to the colored pencils and sometime it will smear the graphite if it is a realy dark area.... and ... if they are expensive markers you can mess up the tips... but thats basically it... are at least how I do it. In the end it is faster to color a pencil sketch using the computer exclusivly
