Those poles are thundersticks. Explosive spears used in Mad Max. The Fleetline engine bay was referenced by the throne on Scabrous Scrotus' Land Mover in Mad Max. The muscle car atop the turret was also a nod to the Land Mover's cab being made from a Valiant Charger. Vehicle body armour was referenced from Darkside in Twisted Metal and the police car it had chained to the front grille. Spear heads were referenced by the cars used by the Buzzards in Mad Max.
