The pride of the Soviet Navy, the Sovetsky Soyuz-class battleship was a heavy warship that served as the core of the Soviet fleets. Dwarfing its rivals, the Sovetsky Soyuz was armed with many then-new weapons systems, such as a spinal EMSEL cannon and sonnematerial cannons. These allowed the Sovetsky Soyuz to not only melt through enemy armor, but also release enough electromagnetic radiation to disable the shields and electronics of smaller vessels. These titanic vessels were widely feared during the Collapse and the Endless War, and most survived both conflicts. These ships fell mostly into the hands of the Conseil of Workers' Systems. These ships were later sold to the United Technocracies, which produced them in large numbers. Although centuries-old by the time of the Galactic War, the Sovetsky Soyuz still proved a capable design, and modernizations such as modern spinal coilguns and shields helped the ships stay relevant even against modern vessels.
