During my early work with ink in 2005 I drew up a ton of superheroes... Captain America never was too happy when I drew him... heehee!Related content

I have always loved captain ameirca- but i could never draw him. I wouldn't presume or dare. To me he is one of the greats- up there with the golden age heros of the past. he was to me the BEST marvel hero= and in that choice i was alone among my comic hoarding nerd college buddies. They liked X men or Love and Rockets- but I stuck by cap.
I collected over 200 of his series and subscribed to the comic for years. i dug up and paid top dollar for his comics at ancient delapidated comoc books stores across the state. i even had the episode in 1972- where he QUIT being cap becuase of Watergate and Nixon- and became Nomad instead.
Something went wrong with Capaatin America in the last few years. Sure the art and plots were getting better thanks to Computers- BUT his heart and soul were gone. He was just a politically correct poltroon in a star spangled suit. I stopped reading him.
And one day Marvel decided to kill off Captain America. And it broke my heart.
I remember the old Cap- i rmemeber when he stood for something great and i could thrill to him as he really was fighting for freedom and liberty. I really will miss him.
