and you consider yourself an artist? as you can spit on the law? you draw a beautiful thing? fine. continue. you never will not learn. you do not even ashamed of this lesson, you just have disgraced themselves before the entire deviantart.

oval is glass of top of the curve. You can not see it? if you have seen it, why do you not fix them? maybe you have something wrong with your vision?

This is so amazing! I'm very impressed that anyone can draw something like that digitally. (Of course, I thought it was impossible.)

That's the way this person does their work yes. Starting dark does have it's advantages as does starting light. It really all depends on what type of medium you're working with as to which way will work best. I've seen a lot of people work from dark to light on paintings and digital works so that if something shows through the layers it'll be the darkest colour instead of the canvas/white. Some people also find it easier to get a range of contrasting shades if they start dark.
When it comes to mediums where it's impossible to completely take away or replace colour once it's laid down then I've seen a lot of artists go from light to dark. Lead pencil, colour pencil and biro pens all tend to be mediums where you really need to start light and go dark. There will be cases where starting dark might work, but in the end those mediums really suit building up layers from lightly laying down colour until you get a dark colour.
Basically the concept is this:
Light to Dark: Filling in shadows to create your picture
Dark to light: Putting in light to create your picture

I have to agree with LittleLeeloo... as awesome as this is and helpful on some levels... its not really a tutorial unless you're actually explaining what you're doing in each step, what brushes you've used, what layer adjustments (if any), and showing what colors you're using.
I also cant tell a difference between the very last image and the second to last one..

It looks like the very last one is a bit smoother, the lines a a little more straight.

looks really good, but once again, it's a walkthrough , not a tutorial. They're something entirely different. If you want people to actually learn something from your steps then describe what you're doing in every image, please.

Would be useful if you put near every "step" which colour you used in it, would be faster to grasp what you were painting Without it it's quite a guess-work, but it looks incredible anyway!

I have heard that painting glass is one of the more difficult feats in painting (any medium) This looks pretty good and you make it look easy! Good Job
