Description
A good friend of mine introduced me to Star Trek Voyager last year, so it was only logical I painted his favorite character for his birthday!
I tried to be braver with lighting with this one - I feel like I often make my initial lighting idea less dramatic and more flat in the overpainting/editing process, so I tried to purposefully avoid that, which felt extremely counter-intuitive in the moment (skin tones in the dark can get muddy so, SO fast), but made for a (I think) more interesting piece in the end
