well, there is using filters with artistic ideas behind it, and there is using filters because it's easy and fast and you want to impress mindless drones. you seem to put more spirit into it than just someone who is filtering the night away. i use filters too of course. but that's just because i'm lazy and doing it by hand would suck.

happy accident...i tried the gradient map and somehow only the hand got red. the some desaturation and the work was done
