…The tree is known far and wide for singing to itself. The trunk itself breathes in long breaths -- below ground, its base expands and compresses like an accordion. Its star-leaves trill like a musical saw when the wind passes through them just right, and the moss all along its trunk glows deep blues, lighting up and ringing like little kalimbas.
Some say every leaf is an effigy of an Aepothian life, and whenever an Aepothian passes on, a leaf falls, renewing itself back into the earth, and into the tree. Many youth have taken fallen leaves home for safekeeping, only for the leaf to vanish into mist within the hour.

Generations pass through the Naivete Plaine and see every life, and all their colors, swaying in the night breeze.
