"My relationship with the Powerpuff Girls? It is a strange one, but it's one."

Is he human? Is he alien? No one is sure, no one except him. What we do know is that Matter is a character with a deep-grey cloak with a deep-purple gem just under their head, light grey gloves that act as hands, and long, slender, black legs with a grey pattern that seem to wrap around the latter. His eyes glow orange and on his forehead rests a deep-purple symbol, what it means is a mystery even to him.

Story:
Prior to the events of the After Series, Matter had entered Earth by magic and made his stay in Townsville. He is found out about by HIM and makes Matter his servant; it didn't last long however...

In the first 'fic' that starts off the series called: 'Return of Bunny', Matter sneaks into the home of Professor Utonium and the recently revived Powerpuff Girls; he takes the remains of the girls' long-deceased sister and brings them to an abandoned building, where he proceeded to revive the girl as part of HIM's plan. He met the family face-to-face eventually and made them sure he brings no harm. He shows the girls their sister has come back, to which he takes the time to teleport back to HIM for more info on what would happen next. Something seems to click in his head that he's on the wrong side and he's freed from HIM's control; he is nearly destroyed shortly after but escapes and eventually helps the heroes defeat HIM in battle, unfortunately his heart escapes, so he's still here.

Matter would continue to make minor appearances in the series, now handed the role of acting as a caretaker to Bunny, who would refer to Matter as 'dad' until her memories returned. He was also the one who gave Blitz a home, rebuilding the factory that was once destroyed, and transformed it into a suitable living place, as well as managing to bring back a few fallen Xtremes after the 'Xtreme monster' battle.

In 'A Great Loss/I'm Not Okay' Bubbles and Buttercup ask him to bring the Professor's spirit into existence to help Blossom with her sudden depression. As well as doing that, he imbues the locket their creator saved for them with a power to contain the latter's spirit.
