i dont care if you share this else were thats fine just let me knowas much as i bitched about rose and the doctor, i really like River and the doctor one beacuse she doesn’t travel with him, and two she is not the bitch that rose was (rose ran off with anther guy in front of her boyfriend and expected him to wait for her)

Yeah I totally feel that, though Tumblr doesn't leave as many comments, your art just gets spread like wildfire if the fangirls fall in love with it 
It's the leg via the dress and the teasing of half showing their faces that makes this super sexy and I was reading your comments about why RiverxDoctor seems better suited than rosexdoctor and I really liked the point you made with Rose moping around and River taking action. I feel River is just important enough to match him while Rose was just an ordinary girl and this can be blamed on how Moffat writes, if you think about every episode he wrote in the Davies Era, his women are a lot more stronger (Nancy, Reinette, River, Sally Sparrow, Amy Pond even) and you pointed out that they were more interesting and that's true. With Davies they were kind of Damsel-ly sans Donna but I always hated how the companions would *demand* the doctor help them in dire situations when he was dealing with bigger things that needed more immediate atttention.
Anyway yeah sorry for the preach to the choir

another thing about Rose vs River, with rose the doctor became her whole life, she became so dependent on him she lost what made her interesting, Rose was a great companion with 9 beacuse she was as new to the world as alot of people were. you needed her to have the wonder the surprise and some one around not knowing how things work so when they are explained, you are not talking to some one who knows what is happening and the audience is not saying 'shouldn't she know that?' i could even forgive the bit of dependence on the doctor beacuse everything was as alien to her as it was to us. but by the time 10 came around she was just there to be the damsels in distress/love interest and i hate that.
with river i feel while the doctor may be the love of her life, her world doesn't revolve around him, she talks about having other boyfriends. i get the feeling she knows that the every time see him the its going to be one of the best days of of her life, she lives for the those times, but that doesn't stop her from living.
with rose i just got the feeling while she was in the other parallel world she just sat around complain she was not with the doctor.

to be honest i like the idea of doctor only bedding girls he meets in on his adventures never to see again.
but if i had to pick a companion it would be river over rose.(partly beacuse river is not a normal companion as we are used to.)
i understood why the doctor would have rose around as friend, 9 and her were great. but when it was 10 and her it just became so much focus of the show, that it bothered me beacuse she brought nothing unique, we were always told she was special but nothing she did on screen showed that.
unlike with river, i can see why the doctor would have repeat interest, she is a mystery to him. he knows she died for him, i also like her for the fact she appears to do things out side of her life with the doctor.
when comparing the two rose when she thought the doctor was gone for good. sat around for days whining and it took Micky and her mother to do something about it. river see's the doctor death sets to work burning his body, then ready to do what the doctor asked of her.
i just feel that Davies doesn't understand how to write an interesting woman and moffat does. Reinette was far more interesting to me then rose ever was that was long before river
i dont think rose is a terrible character i think she is just a really bad love interest, to the point it put me off Amy for them hinting at it, until the Amys choice episode

i made this long before they kissed, i wanted people to be like 'ohhh she is using her lipstick on him' but due to me posting in after cannon kiss its now doctorxriver fluff
a remake?...i have not seen it the time travelers wife, but i don't think it takes place in space. please tell me im wrong cause then i would watch that movie so hard it wouldn't know what hit it. XD

The Time Traveller's Wife is about a time traveller who meets the woman he falls in love with in the completely wrong order. (She sees him die before they're married-I think.) And she keeps a diary of his appearances in a diary. Which he tries to eek in. So, basically DoctorxRiver with more kissing and less space.

its my own fault for waiting for so long.
that sounds like a stupid plot with out space and monsters. if the guy could travel in time why not use that to make him super rich and powerful, and how could that work if they got into a fight and he younger version showed up no knowing why she is so mad, how would she hold back and not say 'dont this in your future?' this the diary thing can only work if there is a level of disbelieving, like monsters and space

He could'nt control his ability to time-travel (if I remember right). And he lost all of his clothes every time...
The book (which came before the film) did happen before Silence in the Library...but apparently all's fair...the author put a irl in the Fireplace in one of her books

I agree with absolutely EVERYTHING you just said.
It seemed like, towards the end, they tried really hard to make Rose seem "special", but all that was ended up being "Give her a big gun like she knows how to use it."
But like you said, River doesn't need the Doctor to be amazing, and isn't uberly dependent on him like Rose was, which just makes her a better person in general, let alone companion.

Davies just is bad writing women, within the last six months i watched everything again with a friend who i was introducing in to the world of doctor who and off all the women he brought into the show i liked i think a grand total of like 2, and you can see the same thing with torchwood an sara jane smith show we are often told the girls are super special but we rarely see why, and you look at the moffat's females, you have Reinette who was bold, and strong willed, Sally who was smart and saved the freaking planet with very little help from
the doctor who she had to tell there will be a problem, and lets not forget river who knocked out the doctor to save him.
all of Moffat's main chicks show why they are capable of capturing the interest of a man like the doctor. while Davies girls don't.
your right river doesn't need the doctor to be special, she special that's why the doctor needs her......okay all his better companions are special but you get my point right?
