"TAKI!!!!"Taki stopped in her tracks, waiting for Alice,"Hey, what's up?"
Alice held up a piece of paper,"Did you read Ryan's new song? It's really good!"
Taki took the paper and skimmed over it, the things that entertained Alice.
She handed it back,"Cool."
"You didn't even read it."
"Songs aren't meant to be read, they are meant to be sung."
Alice's eye twitched,"You are a pain at times, you know that?"
Taki flashed her smile and nodded,"Of course!"
Alice sighed,"You frighten me more then Brendon and Spencer and Jon combined."
"No, that's the scary part, that I frighten you more then the three of them."
"Talk about me?",Brendon walked up, drapping his arms around the two girls shoulders,"Maybe...",Alice moved.
"Talking about how great I am?",he gave a cheesy grin, making the two girls roll their eyes and Taki moved away from him,"Oh yeah...we just love you Brendon!"
"Is that sarcasim I sense?"
"Of course not!"
"Just making sure...hey...did you guys do your chem homework?"
Alice thought for a moment,"I didn't understand any of it."
Brendon slouched,"What about you Takiko?"
She pulled out a peice of paper and he took it, kissed her cheek, and ran off,"THANKS TAKIKO!!!!"
Taki turned bright red,"Uh........"
Alice snickered,"Aw...you're blushing."
Taki turned even more red,"AM NOT!!!"
"Are too!"
"Are not!!!"
"Are too!!!"
"Are not!!!!!"
"Are what?",Ryan and Jon walked over, both curious.
Alice smiled,"Takiko likes Brendon!!!"
Ryan and Jon got grins on their faces, looking at Taki, who turned even more red,"DO NOT!!!"
"YOU'RE BLUSHING!!!",the three chantted,"YOU LIKE BRENDON!!!"
"DO NOT!!! GO IN SOME DARK CORNER AND DIE YOU THREE!!! I DO NOT!!!"
Spencer walked over,"Why are you so loud Taki?"
"I AM NOT LOUD!!!"
"Okay............"
"She likes Brendon.",Ryan said, holding back a snicker.
"REALLY?!"
The three nodded as Taki was turning even more red.
"DO NOT!!!"
"AW!!! YOU'RE BLUSHING!!!",Spencer said gleefully, jumpping up and down in a circle around Taki.
Taki covered her face,"I hate you all!"
Alice gave her a puppy dog eyes,"You can't hate us!! We wuv you to much!!!"
Taki looked between two fingers to see Alice making faces at her,she laughed,"I couldn't hate you atleast. The rest of them...maybe..."
"HEY!!"
At lunch Brendon gave Taki back her chem homework,"Thanks for that!"
Taki smiled,"No problem Bden! Anytime you need something to copy, let me know!"
"I will!"
Alice and Spencer joined the table, both trying not to say anything, and Taki could tell.
Brendon looked at them both,"Is something wrong?"
Alice shook her head,cheeks puffed out,"Nope!"
He looked at Spencer, who just shook his head furiously,"Nuh-uh."
Taki slapped her forehead,Morons...
Jon came over and sat down, making a sculpture out of his mashed potatoes and Ryan sat down too, trying not to say anything.
Brendon looked around,"Am I missing anything?"
Taki shook her head,"No."
"Okay..."
A girl walked over,"Are you guys buying prom tickets?"
Taki laughed,"Prom?"
The girl nodded,"Everyone is going!"
Ryan shook his head,"We aren't."
"Lame."
"Boring."
"Hate it."
"Stupid."
The girl just rolled her eyes,"Losers."
"BITE ME!!!",Taki called to her.
"What's so important about dressing up in a dress you will only wear once that costs about five hundred dollars and go dance with people?",Alice propped her head up on her hands.
Taki shrugged,"I don't know."
Brendon doodled on his napkin,"It's a waste."
"Like some big party. Most of the people pretend to go and rent a hotel room. Now, I say don't do that...I think cars are more practical!"
Taki and Alice slapped outside the head,"OW!! HEY!!!"
"I can't stand tuxedo's. They're all itchy and stiff.",Spencer pretended to walk like a penguin.
They all laughed, who could have better friends?
In fifth period Brendon and Taki had Mr. Jones as their trig teacher. Oh joy.
"Now..you times x by the square root of the reciprical of..."
Brendon's head rested on his desk as he starred into space. Taki was doodling on her book cover.
"I think my IQ is dropping."
Taki turned to Brendon,"That or we're both to stupid to really care."
He sat up, putting an arm behind his chair,"That is true."
They were quiet for amoment.
"Is something wrong?"
Brendon looked at Taki,"Huh?"
"Something's bugging you...what?"
He shook his head, face red,"N-nothing!"
She narrowed her eyes,"Don't lie to me Brendon Boyd Urie!"
"I'm not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Mr. Urie, Ms. Ariko, is there a problem?",Mr. Jones glared at the two teens.
"No sir!"
"Good, be quiet!",he put his attention back on the board.
Taki took a piece of paper and scribbled something on it and put it on Brendon's desk.
What is wrong?
He grabbed his pencil and wrote something and handed it back:

Taki rolled her eyes at him:
Brendon, tell me.
Why?

Mr.Jones came over and took the note,"What is this?",he eyed them. They shrugged, like anything important was on it.
"You are two of the wierdest children ever..",he put the note down, shaking his head.
The two shared a smile.
I wantted to ask you something.
? Really? What?
Well...I was going to ask you to prom...but you said you didn't like it...
So did you.
That was because you said you didn't like it...so I gave up...
Taki hit her forehead:
STUPID!! You should of said something! I would like to go with you. It might be fun! ^_^
Brendon perked up:
Really?
She looked at him and nodded,"I just didn't expect someone to ask me, that's why I didn't want to go."
He smiled,"Well, I did, and you are!"
"Great!"
"Aw...can I throw up now?",Alice sat on Taki's bedroom floor.
"...come one...we're just going as friends."
Alice raised an eyebrow,"Does he know that?"
"Of course. It's obvious."
"Okay..."
"You think he thinks its more?"
"He may want it to be more."
Taki turned red,"Uh..."
Alice smiled,"I bet he told the guys, they're give us a report."
"I don't know what to do! What dress should I wear? How should wear my hair?"
"Dudette, chill!",Alice laughed, getting up and patting her shoulder,"Calm down, I'll help you out."
"Thanks Alice."
Taki and Alice walked to school, trying to think of what the guys would tell them.
"Why am I nervous?"
"...I'm going to stay quiet..."
"Alice!!"
'What?"
Taki had a mopy face,"Alice..."
Alice sighed,"You like him, it's obvious to me atleast, tell me what happens when you see him or think about him."
Taki thought for a moment,"Well...",her cheeks turned red,"...uh..."
Alice smiled,"See!! HAH!!! Who rules?",she started doing a stupid dance.
"Sexy dance!"
They turned around to see Spencer and Jon.
"You're just jealous cause you can't dance this good!"
"Oh yes...I wish I could dance like a spazz on crack...",Jon rolled his eyes.
Taki looked at them,"So...did you find anything out?"
The two boys looked at each other,"No...just wants to go as friends."
Taki sighed, half of her was happy and the other half was depressed.
"Why the long faces?"
Ryan and Brendon walked up.
"Nothing!",Taki answered immediately.
"Okay...."
Ryan walked up to Alice,"I need to talk to you."
"Okay.",the two walked off. Everyone knew what was going on, it was obvious.
Taki smiled,"Aren't they so cute?!"
Jon sighed,"Like teddy hearts and rainbows."
They started heading to school again.
A week later and prom came. Taki and Alice were dressed up and waiting for Brendon and Ryan got there.
"I'm so nervous!"
Alice sighed,"Calm down!!!"
"I can't."
There was a knock at the door and Alice simply got up to answer it.
Brendon and Ryan were both dressed in tuxedos and hair down.
Alice smiled,taking Ryan's arm,"You look great!"
"You too!"
Taki came over,taking Brendon's,"You look...handsome.'
He smiled,"Thanks. You look gorgeous."
Her face turned bright red and she opened her mouth,but nothing came out.
They got there to run into Spencer and Jon trying to pick up wallflowers and hitting on chicks.
"Wow! You two are looking good!",Jon put his arm around the tw girls shoulder's, who moved away.
"You can look, but not touch.",Taki flicked his nose.
He rubbed it,"Okay okay, geez."
Spencer just laughed,"You just missed it. Some girl got punch spilled all over her dress!"
Brendon and Alice grinned,"Really?!"
Ryan sighed,"Minds of children."
Taki watched Brendon, he looked so handsome in his tuxedo and different.
A slow song started and Brendon turned to her, bowing slightly,"May I have this dance?"
She blushed bright red, but nodded and took his hand and he led her to the middle of the dance floor.
She put her arms around his neck and he put his around her waist.
They started swaying to the music. It was quiet for a moment between them.
"Um...Taki?"
Taki looked up at him, looking into his eyes, they were nervous, kind of like how she felt being this close to him.
"Yeah Brendon?"
"I...well...I just wantted to say..."
He went into thought for a moment, Taki grew curious. What was he going to say? That she smelled bad?
That she was a bad dancer?
He was gay?
"Don't worry, you can tell me anything! I'm your friend!",she smiled at him, and a blush crept across his cheeks.
"Well...I...like you...no...I love you. I have for a while."
Taki stopped swaying,"What?"
He didn't look at her,"It's just that...I liked you for a long time. Every time I wantted to tell you, you were in love with someone else or something. I could never do it."
Taki looked at the ground,"Brendon...",she hugged him, surprising him,"Brendon...I'm sorry. I never knew you felt that way. I told you that you can tell me anything, and I mean anything."
He hugged her back,"Taki..."
They stood still for a moment.
The song still played, and couples danced around them, like planets around the sun.
"Brendon...I like you too. I think I always have, just never noticed till now."
He held her tighter to him.
"Takiko..."
Alice and Ryan went by him, Alice chantting,"Kiss her already!"
Ryan rolled his eyes as he dragged Alice away.
Taki pulled away slightly and looked up at him, and pressed her lips to his as he kissed her back.
Right on cue, they set off a spray of fireworks outside, showing in the sky above through the glass roof.
They looked up,"It's beautiful."
Brendon smiled,"Not as beautiful as you."
