Description
One of the most special concerts I've ever been to was finally getting to see Lacuna Coil the other night. I got into metal as an adult, but Lacuna Coil is one of the few metal bands I've truly been listening to most of my life. I discovered them from "Our Truth" on guitar hero when I was ten years old and have been listening ever since. So, I largely used that song as inspiration for this piece, among others such as "Layers of Time", "Daylight Dancer", and "Nothing Stands in Our Way", and more. I noticed many of Lacuna Coil's songs have lyrics with a strong theme of time and decay, so I tried to portray that. I also went with a more black and white look that I am absolutely delighted with, I love working in black and white haha.
And the concert was so good I cried. Literally, I had tears streaming down my face during their set. Loved every moment of it.
