Vritra was born and raised in a small desert village near a small oasis. Every few years, at the beginning of summer, raiders came to take water from the oasis. And every time, they took women. But, her parents, smart and resourceful, hid her away. Many successful years later, their luck ran out.

The raiders came again and tried to take her mother. Her father intervened, costing him his life. Vritra tried to fight the man, but what power does a 13 year old have. The raider laughed at her, pinning her to the floor with his foot, "Don't worry, your time will be up sooner than you think with that kind of fire." Taking her mother away. Vritra's anger and sadness coalesced in her. She was now an orphan. Vowing to take that man's life with her own hands, she trained. Not in combat, but in a way that will draw all eyes on her, an art form that will make her noticed. Blade-dance.

For years she practiced. Putting her blood, sweat, and tears into her plan. And once the raiders came years later, they took her.

Brought to the place that they hid their treasures and their stolen women, Vritra found more than just her village's people there. With the women gathered in one place, they looked starved and abused. This infuriated her more, and she made an attempt to escape.

Just to her plans, she was taken to the leader under the pretense that she would be the next one to spend the night with them. But, that very same night, with her façade of helplessness, she took the leader's dagger and roaring, plunged a now flaming blade into their chest. In a flash, she snatched the Vision that had appeared in front of her, grabbed the raider leader's dual swords, and fought the onslaught of those that served under him. By the end, she was bleeding and exhausted. But the raiders would not hurt another village and the women were free. So she collapsed.

Thankful for her aid in freeing them, the captured women took care of her. It took Vritra 3 days to awaken from her exhaustion; when she came to, her newly acquired pyro vision lay by her side, and the women explained what they had done to help her.

Extra Things?

Vritra continues to hone her skills and her body, a hero to some, but a demon to others.

She is constantly traveling, no shortage of funds from those that she strikes down. An anti-hero of sorts, she still helps people, but does so in ways that aren't the best... Like setting hot goat men on fire. Chaotic... neutral...
