Description
A channeling of emotions. What are they? Quite honestly, I don't know. what do you think?Tech - 17 layers, a few hours in PSCS8, Image data taken only from the black channel. I used this image in a work a while back, and I wanted to show myself how far I've come since then. I've come quite a ways. Do you remember the old one? Times have changed.

Very nicely done there. The loss of image at the top really focuses your attention onto the main subject, it's a really interesting approach that I may have to 'borrow'
The contrasting is similar to an old photo i have from the '40s of a lady lying down, gives it that old skool flava, well to me anyway...

You mentioned that you too the image data only from the black channel. I don't quite understand what you mean. Is it too cheeky to ask for more detail in how you came up with the effect?

Okay. First off, I apoligize for this week of not commenting on this piece. 
Let's see here...
I remember this piece from long ago Nate. It was in 100% color and I think I commented on the strong lighting on the grass or something... I think. You know, its quite fasinating really, looking threw the stuff you did back then and comparing it to now. I did that a few days ago actually. I don't have the files on DA anymore but I still have them on my computer -- very interesting process I had. Was from 3D Landscapes --> Simple Manipluations --> Dark Art --> Photograph --> and now I vary from here and there. Mostly in photography though. But, I noticed that you had quite the interesting transitioning and skill build up. I'd say, if I can recall from what I saw in your gallery long ago, your skills have dramatically increased -- especially in enhancing images. I still remember those photos you had of little David. Heh. 
In any case...
Channeling of emotions... good question. Quite frankly, I have no idea as to what it is really. So, sorry, I can't answer that question for ya.
I noticed you took a very strong contrast crank up with this image -- adds a nice effect. Very dominant in the black and white area as well. Heh. I can't really say much of the photo really. I think its just fine the way it is... its one of those art pieces you can't just critique, if you know what I mean.
...and indeed. Times have changed... I guess all that DA surfing and learning did have a good impact on me... aside from the mindless staring at the monitor all day long. Heh.

She's looking straight into her own shadow, which is the coolest part of the shot, really. And that upped contrast and black channel is done so well, a really lovely way of doing this style too. It brings out the lighting and that shadow too. Composition is excellent, the negative space allows for the piece to really lift off (not literally though, that might be a bit odd

She looks really bored. Seems very frustrated or something..yeop..I dont know much about such work in the darkroom, though I know what layers are
As for this, the leaf(or whatever it is) in the middle of the shot caught my eye, looks like she is staring at it..Pose is natural, which I love, contrast also helps build the tension in this..
Not your usual description, but I like this piece, well done man.

I like the way the grass looks, but you shouldn't have cut off her feet so much... it gives this an odd look which I'm not sure if I like or not...
