yup. just like the human ear, bat wings, etc etc. the membrane is illuminated from beyond, with the sunlight traveling through the blood vessels making it appear to glow red.

Still looks a little bizzar cause the white side is completly solid, but yet somehow the light is passing through the web. Maybe make the white side a little less solid?
Cause when the ear glows red it glows from any side you look at it, not just the inside.

The only thing that looks weird to me is how the shoulder of the arm coming forward is facing back, shouldn't the dragons shoulder be facing forward?
