Interesting comment for this picture. I was thinking more of the contrast between the stones and the heath/clouds.
I live in a city where almost all the buildings are less than 40 years old. Interesting to consider that one day, not too far in the future, they'll all be gone, just as all the people I have known will be gone.
Beautiful picture. The highlights in the two areas of grass and the sky help lead the eye to the distance and the texture is of course marvelous.
