Description This pic started out as a simple bit of fanart, but it grew into something much more monstrously colourful when I discovered a new watercolour-style technique with my photoshop brush.

For those who are unfamiliar with the indi game Braid - Think Super Mario meets Prince of Persia, all done in a beautiful oil-pastel style. Here's a trailer I dug up from youtube -

It's probably the best game I've played this year. Better than Left 4 Dead. Yeah, you heard me. Localized time travel > Zombies.

I found the puzzles in Braid absolutely mind-boggling at first. After a while they became a bit repetitive, but were still entertaining enough to keep me guessing. And the ending ... oh God the ending ... It's an open ending, but ... Oh God.

Possibly what makes this game so epic is that if you're very clever in the ending sequence, you CAN get the princess ... but you create a reverse-paradox and destroy the universe in the process. O_o But don't worry. You can survive to tell the tale. :3

I wont reveal too much about it, but I'd HIGHLY reccomend you all go out and get Braid. It's on Steam and it's pretty cheap. Until then, I'm afraid your princess is in another castle.

Braid and Characters are © Number None studios
Dis picshur is © Me, dammit.

EDIT - I've seen several people on DA use this picture as stock, when I have specifically specified that I would like EXPLICIT PERMISSION before it's use. Please contact me before you use it. Thanks.

heehee, thanks!

And yes, that's certainly one theory. I still like the idea that Tim's got so used to undoing his actions, he loses all sense of responsibility.

And in something as fragile as a relationship with a girl, you often only get one chance, time traveller or not.

It's amazing work love. I think the fire effetc is awesome and you really captured the game here. the 'essence' so to speak. Excellent wokr all around, and you should keep up this level of work.

as stated by Yahtzee, it's not an indy game if the lead developer pours 180 grand into it.

Heheh... squished the English goomba :V

But the company haven't made any other games recently, (asides from Castle Crashers?) ... so I'd still class it as an Indi game. x3
